An aging gangster tries to reconnect with his children and make amends for the mistakes of his past, but the criminal underworld won’t loosen its grip on him willingly. Liam Neeson started boxing at age 9 and boxed amateurly until he was 17. The doctor diagnosed Liam Neeson’s character with CTE. A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made by examining brain tissue after a person’s death. This diagnosis should have been presumptive with other options and possible treatments explored. Liam’s performance is simply incredible, he plays the character so well that you can feel every emotion he feels. The film is psychological, there were some disturbing scenes and a lot of violence, but I think that was necessary for the story to develop. I don’t understand the low ratings, it was a good film and it wasn’t easy to guess the plot. I thought this would be another Liam Neeson action film and I loved it, but this one is different, it’s mystery, crime and psychology combined. It’s slow paced, so it’s not for everyone, but it’s rewarding. I would recommend watching this film if you have a weird and unique taste in films.
